KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The UCF Business Incubation Program in Kissimmee recently hosted the Osceola County School District’s Entrepreneurship Youth Challenge, providing local students with a valuable opportunity to develop and showcase their business ideas in a real-world setting.
Held at the Kissimmee incubator facility, the event brought together aspiring young entrepreneurs from across the Osceola County School District. Students presented innovative business concepts, pitched their ideas, and received meaningful feedback from experienced mentors and business professionals.
During the event, Axel Lopez, CEO of AXELERA TECHNOLOGIES, was recognized for his leadership, commitment to innovation, and support of entrepreneurship in the Central Florida business community. His recognition highlighted the important role local business leaders play in inspiring and encouraging the next generation of innovators.
The challenge was designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including business planning, marketing strategies, and financial considerations, while also encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
The Kissimmee incubator—established through a partnership between the University of Central Florida, the City of Kissimmee, Osceola County, and the Florida High Tech Corridor—serves as a hub for innovation and small business development in the region.
